JENNIFER FILIPIAK

Executive Director of the Driftless Area Land Conservancy

Jennifer is the Executive Director of the Driftless Area Land Conservancy (DALC).  Prior, she served as the Midwest Regional Director of the American Farmland Trust, where she worked collaboratively with farmers, farmer organizations and government agencies to overcome barriers to conservation practice adoption and advance common ground solutions for agriculture and the environment. The now popular national “Women for the Land” initiative is part of her legacy with AFT. 

 

Filipiak brings more than 15 years of project management experience in conservation and sustainable agriculture having previously worked with organizations such as the Illinois Stewardship Alliance, The Nature Conservancy of Iowa, and the Lake County (Illinois) Forest Preserve District.

 

Filipiak holds a B.S. in Ecology from Northern Michigan University and an M.S. in Wildlife Ecology from Southern Illinois University at Carbondale.
