About the event
With decades of management, the prairies and oak woodlands of this property benefit from careful seeding using only locally gathered native plant seed, with the majority coming from nearby York Prairie State Natural Area. Jim is most recently passionate about restoring the oak woodlands on his property, which interestingly contain a remnant population of Cornus drummondii (Roughleaf Dogwood), a Great Plains species that is very uncommon in Wisconsin
