Larson Farm, Blanchardville
About the event
Larson Farm is a 200 acre farm tucked into the countryside of Blanchardville. Todd Larson shares this farm with his highland cattle, llamas, and peafowl. During our tour, Todd will take us to see both a prairie remnant and a newly restored prairie on the property. While we walk, he will tell us about his restoration journey, including restoration strategies that he has used and the conservation organizations that he has engaged with along the way. There will also be experts available to answer any technical assistance or easement opportunity questions that you have.
On this tour we will be taking the Larson Loop and Erickson Esker trails, which will be roughly 2 miles of walking. The trails are well maintained and are simple to moderate complexity with some elevation gain (see link below for a map of the Larson Farm trails).
This event is free for all who attend. Snacks are provided. Please bring a water bottle, hat, and hiking boots for the evening. Official address will be provided a week before the event.
