Celebrate the longest day of the year by waking up with the birds at Bloomfield Prairie. Enjoy a relaxed morning walk through wide open grasslands, guided by a grassland bird enthusiast who will help us spot and learn about the avian friends that make this prairie their home.

About the event
Guided Walks
Choose one of the following grassland bird guided walk times when you register:
🌅 Early Bird (Sunrise) Guided Walk– Starts at 5:22 AM
☀️ Not So Early Bird Guided Walk– Starts at 8:00 AM
What to Expect
The 8:00am tour will start with a short grassland bird presentation before we start our guided walk. If you sign up for the early tour, feel free to stay and listen to the presentation at 8:00am!
Enjoy a leisurely, guided walk through the prairie by a grassland birding expert.
Each tour will cover 1-2 miles at a slow pace. Trails are composed of dirt and grass paths and may be uneven in some areas.
Please wear sturdy, comfortable walking shoes and be prepared for natural outdoor conditions.
The guided walks leave from the parking lot at 5:22am and 8:00am, but you can walk back to your car at any time, no need to stay with the guide.
