Let's Talk Prescribed Fire!
Join us for an evening tour of the Mineral Point High School prairie that was burned late this past spring. Afterwards, we will enjoy a community meal and conversation about the challenges and opportunities of using prescribed fire on private land. We'll provide the main course; you bring your favorite side or dessert to share!
The key topic of discussion will be Prescribed Burn Associations (PBA's). We will talk about what exactly a PBA is, what barriers landowners might face in forming them, as well as the burn resources webpage being developing to help landowners in Southwest Wisconsin connect with each other for prescribed fire purposes.
